Yes there were badges everywhere in 2019: from Trip Advisor to Google Local Guides — I was rewarded non stop & then half way through I found I didn’t care. But to be fair I have the same feeling with respect to as all those certificates I have from traditional suppliers of education, except one. Which reminds me of when I worked in Scottish FE and the kids turned up with a folder of paper certificates and asked to be exempt from so and so: “Done it all before” was the mantra. And yes a few could skip but many needed help still.
