However I don’t think it helps with contact tracing as such, does it?
No, it does not, But maybe more downloaded and used as a result.
However my new Fitbit is less hassle — in terms of entering data eg has GPS, more useful- keeps me fit and informs me of sleep quota etc, and has fun incentives like my latest Redwood Tree badge.
JK has “argued that allowing transgender women to easily obtain gender confirmation certificates and access women’s bathrooms and changing rooms could endanger non-transgender women and girls” (via wikipedia)
In the conclusion of the Scottish Government’s recent Gender Recognition Act Consultation Document it says:
“The key question in this context is very much about whether a change in the system for obtaining legal gender recognition would adversely affect women’s rights. The Scottish Government has concluded that it would not.”
Hmmm
The point was that online is different to the conventional approach and therein handling a class of 30 is more complex that 15 or less. In a normal classroom you may have a discipline issue and you can send Junior along the corridor to the Head for being dealt with. In an online class with dodgy equipment and connections, unknown kids — maybe as you are a supply teacher, … the last thing you need is a jolly jape.

Interesting … so that’s 500 staff and premises in one City who could be used to help hard pressed educators get the school system back to work put on leave — since I suspect its easy for HR.

Every July the Orange Order marches through the streets of Glasgow to commemorate William’s victory over his Catholic rival at the Battle of the Boyne in Ireland in 1690. This is living history.
Two Covid-insecure highlights from last year:
“An Orange Walk yob who pushed a woman trying to cross the march and then spat at her was today jailed for four months.” (via Glasgow News)
“A man who spat on a priest as an Orange walk marched past a Glasgow church has been jailed for 10 months.” (via BBC)
It has been for NHS there was a money no object and for any problems there was required to be a speedy solution. There has been no money tree option, an optimistic date was set and it was expected that resources would be made available somehow …
The thing is the taxpayer loses out since the UK one pays 80% and Scotland 20% for them to do nothing. And how long for ? Surely this is not sensible. But I suspect with the less than helpful attitude of Mr Blackford back in his modest cottage and the FM means that any compromise that would help would have not been discussed or even proposed.
