Inspector Resnick’s Wasted Years by John Harvey

was on Radio 4 extra yesterday. My Mum let me have a couple of his paperbacks for the journey north to Scotland. And to be honest they are better than this production which for some reason I have tired of, despite all the rave Amazon reviews on his work. There has been a stream of Detective drama around about 8pm on R4 Extra many better produced from Wimsey to less well known.

Audio Book: Allan Mallinson : A Regimental Affair

This is third of Captain Hervey’s early 19th century adventures, I have listened to of late, initially starting at Waterloo. This one covers his trip to north Nottingham & Sherwood and its all good innocent stuff. I use RBDigital (via Aberdeen Library)as opposed to Audible which I have a subscription for: less choice but an expanding free one.
