From your pic I would say that you are a little younger than me and still gainfully employed. I attended 4 shops today and used a bus twice. Only the latter did I not receive feedback from the operator who waved my bus pass through despite my best efforts to engage, but in my defence a large plastic screen gets in the way. In the store that had auto-scanning I was prepared to queue for human service but resorted to one of the new free long self service belted machines and, as usual, had a problem. I then had a calm chat with a supervisor (actually about a disposable bag purchase) and left in good spirits, clear conscience. The latter was the case at Kilau Coffee where a customer discussed with me espresso vs filter (aka Americano in some places) coffee. And finally I must have received over four “Good Mornings” in exchange for my newspaper coupon. All this was done before 9am and in less than 60 minutes, not sure if such minutiae makes you jealous but it makes me smile recollecting it, and pleased that I did not do it in a quarter of the time in a shop with no human contact
