Revelation: A Matthew Shardlake Novel

C. J. Sansom read by Anton Lesser

I had first listened to Dissolution and was going to change readers (same author multiple narators) just to see but am glad I stuck with Anton Lesser — the Chief Inspector in the Endeavour TV series. Set in the time of Henry VIII it (topically) talks of plague.

Angel with Two faces (Josephine Tey)

Nicola Upson read by Sandra Duncan

In the mold of Agatha Christie with a lady narrator — much recommended

Exactly: How Precision Engineers Created the Modern World

by Simon Winchester & read by him

A non fiction one

The Hidden Life of Trees: The International Bestseller — What They Feel, How They Communicate

by Peter Wohlleben & read by him

Another non fiction one

Hall of Mirrors: Bryant and May, Book 15

Christopher Fowler (Author), Tim Goodman (Narrator)

And back to Crime fiction, with a twist. This is where I started as one of “stars” reminded me of an old school friend.
