I am a member of Trekking & Towpaths YouTube channel because of the Notts/Derby accent of the host. It would appear that this lad lives near to one of my relations: since he was 5 “in the village of Troughton” (SP?).
The walk in the below goes from south of Ilkeston, Derby to almost the “unspoilt” village of Trowell whilst skirting the rail yards at Toton. It mentions Bulwell and various other place-names from my youth.
